हिंदीतर प्रदेश के बच्चों को हिंदी सिखाने के लिए आओ हिंदी सीखें, हिंदी पाठमाला की यह शृंखला तैयार की गई है। इस शृंखला में पाँच पुस्तकें हैं। इन पुस्तकों में सरल एवं रोचक विधि से हिंदी को सिखाने का प्रयास किया गया है। पाठों का चयन आज के समय के अनुसार और बच्चों के मानसिक स्तर एवं उनकी जिज्ञासु प्रवृत्ति को ध्यान में रखते हुए किया गया है।
इन पुस्तकों में बच्चों को स्वर-व्यंजन, मात्रा और संयुक्ताक्षर पढ़ने और लिखने में सक्षम बनाना, सुनकर समझना, ध्वनि सुनकर अंतर करना, सुनने की योग्यता बढ़ाना, बोलने में स्वतंत्र और मौखिक अभिव्यक्ति का विकास करने के साथ-साथ उन्हें शुद्ध उच्चारण करने और हिंदी के मानक रूप से परिचित कराने तथा उनका शब्द-भंडार बढ़ाने की ओर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है। विद्यार्थियों की सुविधा के लिए यथास्थान हिंदी शब्दों के अर्थ अंग्रेज़ी में भी दिए गए हैं।

महाभारत भी रामायण की ही भांति भारतीय संस्कृति का एक मुख्य स्रोत है। यह अद्भुत महाकाव्य महर्षि वेदव्यास द्वारा रचित है। इस काव्य में कौरवों और पांडवों के चरित्र का विशद विश्लेषण है। कौरव और पांडव भरतवंशी थे, इसलिए भरतवंशियों अथवा भरतों के संग्राम या युद्ध को ‘भारत’ कहा गया। भरतवंशियों के बीच जो भीषण युद्ध हुआ, वही महाभारत कहलाया।
